Heathrow TGI Appointment

I'm happy to announce that @Fraser Cooperhas been appointed as the Heathrow TGI. Fraser brings with him a wealth of experience of multiple ATC Training roles (and other staff positions) both in the UK and throughout other divisions on the network. Over the last few days Fraser has been picking things up from Nathaniel and he will soon be up to speed with Heathrow. I'm excited to see what changes Fraser's appointment will bring to Heathrow. ATC Training 2022 Q4 + Year Review

There was generally some good feedback from publishing the quarterly stats when I did so last month. If this type of thing is something that you would like to see continue then please keep letting us know (by liking or commenting on this post or reaching out to me another way). Exams Incomplete exams are excluded for clarity: S1 - 26 exams, 23 passed, 3 failed. This is a 62% increase in the number of exams conducted and a 11% decrease in the pass rate. S2 - 5 exams, 5 passed, 0 failed

Hi All, So as of today I have taken over the keys for the Member Services department. New Member Services Director

The DSG is pleased to announce that @John Batten is appointed as the Member Services Director. This recruitment round has been especially challenging as we negotiated this appointment with external parties and have held extensive discussions with the relevant applicants. Ultimately this has meant that our outgoing Member Services Director ( @Lee Roberts ) has remained in role much longer than anticipated in order to transition this function to our new appointment. The Flying Programme Launch

Introduction ✈️ On the 13th of March 2021, Pilot Training put out a prospectus forum post describing The Flying Programme. Envisioned as an expansion of the P0 Initial Pilot rating, The Flying Programme proposed sessions, group flights, and seminars open to all home members on VATSIM UK to assist in starting out on the network. I have good and bad news to announce. Starting with the bad, I regret to announce that @Thomas Mills has resigned as one of our Sector File Coordinators. Thomas was appointed at the same time as Luke as the first 2 sector file coordinators in November 2020. He has given us two whole years of work, 292 commits and just shy of 90,000 line changes on git. Hello all, Unfortunately, I have decided to step down from my role as Tower TGI. Joining the training team nearly two years ago, as TGNC's TGI, I have had the fortunate opportunity to meet some lovely people within the staff and mentoring team. Happy New Year - Operations 2023

Another year, another 13 AIRACs gone. This has been a challenging year, with increased workload placed upon the department, after the loss of some experienced staff. With the introduction of the UK Controller Plugin API, some advances in flow control, and our ever-more present role in traffic planning for big events, it becomes hard to keep up with all our day to day roles!   One of our focuses this year has been to try to increase the list of airports that we can support documentation

Media Manager Resignation
