New Deputy Division Director

I have been thinking about bringing a Deputy back for the past few months but have held off. It has not been easy as there are many people with the skills and attributes to do the UK2 job, and having been UK2 myself i know what it takes to be a great deputy. VATSIM UK Live! 2017 - Bookings Open

We are delighted to announce that bookings have opened this evening for VATSIM UK Live! which is taking place on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of August at Conference Aston. I am delighted to announce that Daniel Crookes is the Division's new Pilot Training Director. Daniel has been a driving force in the PTD over the past year and will build on the successes that have already been made in the department. VATSIM UK Live! 2017 - Announcement

We are delighted to announce that this year’s VATSIM UK Live! event will take place on the weekend of the 26th and 27th of August at Conference Aston. Live! is an annual real-world social event which is organised to allow VATSIM members, be that Pilots or Controllers, to meet and work alongside each other. Web Services Directors

With Ant leaving his position on the DSG I have been thinking on how best our web services should be managed. The work that the Web Services Department do for the Division has grown and grown over the past  18 months.  We are also part of the way through some major changes both to pilot and atc training as well as the move over to core. I have decided that it would best serve the Division if we split Web Services into two departments each with its own focus to help us with the changes

Marketing Manager

Folks Marketing and Community have always worked closely, and with the introduction to changes in the Community department this will continue at pace.   I have decided to merge the Marketing and Community departments.  This new department will be lead by Barrie Joplin. To maintain the focus on the day to day running of marketing and events I have appointed James Brierley to the role of Marketing Manager.  James will work into Barrie he will be in charge of all our social media out

Following on from the announcement last year that VATSIM would be holding a conference in London this summer.  VATSIM is delighted to announce that the website for Connexion 2017 has been launched and tickets are now available to book. VATSIM UK Open Evening - Sunday 24th July 1815z

On Sunday the 24th of July between 1915 and 1945 local there will be a VATSIM UK Open Evening, This is your chance to quiz the DSG team.  I'll be there along with Callum, Adam, Ant, Alex, James and Barrie.  This will give you the chance to ask about ATC training, events, community, pilot training or anything else that's going on in the Division.
