Hi all, After almost 2 years in the staff team I have decided to step down as Approach TGI. I started in the New Controller TG alongside @Kye Taylor and @James Taylor (They are brothers) where we worked well and achieved lots together. ATC Training 2022 Q4 + Year Review

There was generally some good feedback from publishing the quarterly stats when I did so last month. If this type of thing is something that you would like to see continue then please keep letting us know (by liking or commenting on this post or reaching out to me another way). Exams Incomplete exams are excluded for clarity: S1 - 26 exams, 23 passed, 3 failed. This is a 62% increase in the number of exams conducted and a 11% decrease in the pass rate. S2 - 5 exams, 5 passed, 0 failed

ATC Training Staff Changes

Hi all, As I'm sure many of you have seen, there have been some staff changes within the ATC Training Department in the last month. @Kye Taylor has stepped down from his role in the Tower Training Group (resignation post). Kye, I know I've said this privately but I'll extend the message (even more) publicly, you've had a huge effect on the training and experience on the network of hundreds of members. Waiting List Changes

Currently, all ATC Training Waiting Lists are ordered by list join date. Members on a list do not need to remain eligible for a training place while on the list. This means members on a waiting list who leave the network for a long period of time are returning at the top of a waiting list ahead of the members who have remained active within the division. Training Place Eligibility Update

Our new theory exam requirement for training places has been live for  a couple of weeks now!  I would like to provide some extra detail on how this is implemented practically: ⚠️ - Whether you have passed the required theory exam is not currently tracked by the "My Waiting List" eligibility checker on the VATSIM UK Website. ⚠️ - If you meet all the other criteria for a training place other than passing the theory exam, the eligibility checker will still show you as eligible, but

C1 Training Place Allocation & Hour Requirement Changes

Hi all, Over the past few years, the enroute team have allocated C1 training places on a purely ‘first come, first served’ principle, changing the number of places available for each training sector to suit students’ eligibility. Gatwick ADC Endorsement Syllabus

S2 Moodle Course Release

It’s finally here! British Summer Time (BST) ends Sunday 25th October at 02:00

Deferred ATC Training Places

Hi all, So that we can ensure fairness for newer students, we recently introduced a two year limit for training place deferrals, set-out in section 4.6 of our ATC Training Handbook. Every student with a deferred place has been informed of this by email - if you expect to be on a deferred list and haven't received an email, please get in touch with the Member Services team. If you deferred your place less than two years ago, you will have up to two years from the date that you deferred
