The ATC Training department is recruiting for S2+ rated members to join our team in various roles.

The role(s)
The Training Department is responsible for developing and implementing training schemes for the award of VATSIM controller ratings. We are looking for members to join and work closely with our existing team to help us continue to deliver high quality training to our students and to improve the efficiency of training.

On a day to day basis, depending on the strengths of the applicant, the successful candidate(s) will find themselves doing one or many of the following:

  • Overseeing mentoring within the TG to maintain high training standards;
  • Motivating the mentoring team and driving mentoring levels;
  • Organising and conducting group seminars as appropriate;
  • Issuing STVs and forwarding students for examination in accordance with division policy;
  • Managing and issuing training places to students;
  • Maintaining and developing eLearning courses and other student and mentor resources.

About you
We are looking for candidates who:

  • Have a passion for the network and are committed to improving the experience of the network for the members of our division.
  • Can commit to spending around 5-10 hours to the role most weeks.
  • Can commit to remain in the role for at least 1 year.
  • Be a home member of VATSIM UK 
  • Be a member in good standing.

An ideal candidate would also:

  • Have excellent knowledge of the ATC procedures for their TG;
  • Have experience teaching, either on or off the network.
  • Have a good level of written English.
