Hello all, this weeks late announcement of the Friday night fly in will be at Kemble

Details are below:

  • Aerodrome: Cotswold Airport (Kemble) - EGBP
  • Date and Time: 18th March 1900-2100z
  • Staffed position: EGBP_I_TWR
  • Requests or Extra Info: Brize Norton LARS, Farnborough LARS, Gloucester Approach, Bristol Radar and Cardiff Radar.

START AND TAXI

  • Departing aircraft can start at their own discretion. No need to call for start-up.
  • When ready for taxi, call up for aerodrome information and taxi. The FISO will provide runway in use, QFE and taxi instructions.
  • All rotary traffic to call for engine/rotor start.

CIRCUITS

  • Circuit Heights: Fixed-wing 1000 FT QFE, Jet circuit 1500 FT QFE.
  • Helicopters may operate south of Runway 08/26 (asphalt) for training up to 700 ft QFE, inside the fixed wing circuit. 
  • The standard circuit patterns are Right hand Runway 08 and Left hand Runway 26.
  • All fixed wing GA traffic to join overhead. If you're unsure how to perform an overhead join, check this diagram here.

NOISE ABATEMENT

  • Pilots should avoid overflying the villages and hamlets of Kemble, Kemble Wick, Rodmarton, Culkerton, Ashley and Chelworth, wherever possible.

  • The standard circuit patterns are Right hand Runway 05 and Left hand Runway 23.
  • Caution the aerodrome is very close to the EGBB CTA, The base of Birmingham Controlled Airspace overhead and to the southwest of Coventry Airport is altitude 1500 FT.

NOISE ABATEMENT

  • Every operator of aircraft using the aerodrome shall ensure at all times that aircraft are operated in a manner calculated to cause the least disturbance practicable in areas surrounding the aerodrome. In particular, aircraft operators should avoid overflight of the noise sensitive areas of Binley Woods and Ryton-on-Dunsmore (05 departures, 23 arrivals) and Stoneleigh (05 arrivals, 23 departures).
