2024-07-20 to 2024-07-21 - Edinburgh (EGPH) Delivery Opening Restrictions

Edinburgh Delivery is not always available on VATSIM and is allowed to be opened in high traffic. The vMATS states the following:

"The GMP position is not published in the UK AIP but has been retained on VATSIM for use during busy periods. GMP shall therefore not be opened unless there is significant demand for departures – considered to be at least 15 aircraft on the ground pending departure, or when rostered for events."

Given recent and expected high traffic volumes at EGPH this weekend, Edinburgh Delivery is permitted to be opened on Saturday and Sunday without checking the number of aircraft pending departure. Consequently (and perhaps more effecting the membership) members are also welcome to book in advance.

From Monday, controllers are reminded of the above restriction.
