Effective 28 December 2023

Applicable to: EGLL, EGSS, EGGW, EGNX, EGBB, EGTK, EGTC - ADC and APC controllers

Introduction

We are permanently implementing the London TC Midlands sector, meaning that enroute controllers may now open the position outside of events. This has an effect on handoff orders, top-down ownership, and other coordination. These changes are summarised for each airfield below.

Impacts on ADC/APC Procedures

London Heathrow (EGLL) - the handoff order for UMLAT/ULTIB SIDs is amended to include TC Midlands, in accordance with the new TC NW ownership order (see above). There is no change to the top-down ownership order of the aerodrome itself.

London Stansted (EGSS) - the only change is to the coordination of UTAVA/NUGBO departures from SS FIN to TC NW, to now include TC Midlands in the handoff order (see above). There is no change to the top-down ownership order of the aerodrome itself, nor the handoff order from AIR to TC/APP.

London Luton (EGGW) - the top-down ownership order of the aerodrome is amended to include TC Midlands in accordance with the above TC NW ownership order. This affects all handoff orders from AIR but does not affect coordination procedures for ZAGZO inbounds which procedurally are transferred from TC North East.

East Midlands (EGNX) - the top-down ownership order of the aerodrome is amended to the new TC Midlands order defined above. This affects the handoff order for DTY SIDs. All coordination procedures with AC Daventry are now defined as with TC Midlands.

Birmingham (EGBB) - the top-down ownership order of the aerodrome is amended to the new TC Midlands order defined above. This affects the handoff order for all southbound SIDs from BB APC to London, or from BB AIR to London when APC is offline. All coordination procedures with AC Daventry are now defined as with TC Midlands.

Oxford (EGTK) and Cranfield (EGTC) - the top-down ownership order of both aerodromes are amended to the new TC Midlands order defined above.
