[24th September 1300-1500z] Road to Ronaldsway

VATSIM UK is pleased to announce its first GA event in over a year, and to celebrate the return of this event series we are pleased to announce Road To Ronaldsway.

Join us on the 24th of September in your trusty kite as we staff up Hawarden, Liverpool, Blackpool to take you on the Road to Ronaldsway! ATC will be online from 1300-1500z for you to enjoy, we hope to see you there.

 

Suggested Routes:

• Hawarden to Isle of Man - Depart Hawarden, obtain clearance to transit Liverpool via the Neston and Mersey Lanes exiting via Seaforth Dock, follow the coast up to Blackpool remaining below 3500ft until clear of the Manchester TMA. Once abeam Blackpool, turn left onto a track of 290 degrees to reach the Isle of Man.
• Hawarden to Isle of Man (direct) - After departing Hawarden route via Flint Bridge, following the River Dee to remain under the Liverpool CTA and then track direct to the Isle of Man.
• Hawarden to Blackpool - Same as Hawarden to Isle of Man but terminating at Blackpool. Alternatively, transit over Liverpool to leave via Kirkby then route towards Blackpool.
• Any of the above routes but in reverse.

We are endeavouring to staff Liverpool Radar, Warton LARS and Ronaldsway Radar - feel free to make the most of the available ATC to request a UKFIS as required.

It's been a while, but we've recently expanded our team and we want to get back to running regular GA events, especially now we have even more aircraft options in MSFS! I've been having a right blast flying the A2A Comanche, and being able to navigate using the ground makes a nice change after coming from P3D 😛
