Fraser Cooper
Hello everyone, This thread will serve as 'How To' guide for the FISO layout of vStrips. The full and up-to-date Wiki can be found here - https://fiso.vstrips.co.uk/ Currently, to use this product, you must be part of the vStrips Beta Team - https://www.vstrips.uk/join-beta This layout will display if the logged in ICAO code matches those listed here - https://www.vatsim.uk/atc/endorsements (In addition to the list above, the following airfields have been also added - West Wales EGFA, Compton Abbas EGHA) Strips will auto-populate from Euroscope data. You can add new strips. Entering just the callsign will grab the rest of the data via the VATSIM data feed. All strips use 'PICK and DROP' functionality. Click the callsign of any strip and click the destined bay. All strips can be moved to all bays. Main View Strip Design (Strip design for Outbounds) (Strip design for Inbounds or Local flights) Abbreviations ETA - Estimated Time of Arrival ETD - Estimated Time of Departure DEPT - Departure Airfield DEST - Destination Airfield REPORTED ROUTE - Enter intended VFR route (abbreviate where possible) F - Flight Rules TYPE - Aircraft Type ATT - Actual Taxi Time (Enter the time they call for taxi) ATD - Actual Time of Departure (Enter the time they depart) ATA - Actual Time of Arrival (For inbounds only, click to mark arrival time) CLX LMT - Enter taxi clearance limit SSR - Squawk Code (If required) QNH - Click to add QNH to strip (METAR source can be changed in options) DRWY - Departure Runway (Click for drop-down) Changing METAR source Some airfields do not publish their own METAR, so the source airfield ICAO can be changed. Special Strips GAP Strips Gap strips display the runway name with the word GAP on. They are dark grey in colour with a light grey border to match the bay splits*. Gap Strips are designed for runway bay strip management. To delete a gap strip, PICK + CHK. CHK/INFO Strips Check strips are a special type of strip which can ONLY appear in the Runway and Circuit Bay. Check strips can be added from the Runway or Circuit Bay Header by selecting CHK and then the check needed in the popup. This will create a Check strip with the Callsign field as the check. To delete a check strip, PICK + CHK. Blocker Strips Blocker strips are a special type of strip which can ONLY appear in the Runway Bay. They indicate that the runway is unavailable or cannot be used. Blocker strips are added by toggling the red ‘X’. They are coloured red and will always appear at the bottom of the bay and cannot be reordered.
