New CT S1 Training Programme Launched!

Hey folks,
I'm pleased to announce the launch of our new CT S1 course.
Main points:
- Comprehensive e-Learning/Moodle courses
- All S1 training completed within the New Controller Training Group
- All practical S1 training sessions conducted using London Gatwick
*Once process/event is complete, send a ticket to ATC Training to continue the process
I've just joined the New Controller Training Group (TG) - How do I join a Group session?
You will be invited by email to join a Group Observer session (OBS-S1 Part 1) when your place in the waiting list has been reached.
We will try to announce the next upcoming sessions a few weeks in advance here. It is worth checking the CT System daily in the few days leading up to the Group sessions in case any spots open up at the last minute. We do try and open up the waiting list to ensure that all of the places get filled.
In the meantime whilst waiting, we encourage you to say hello and get involved with the bustling community of controllers and pilots on our TeamSpeak server as well as trying out the flying aspect of VATSIM to get an appreciation of how the other side of the scope works! Any general or short questions/queries can often be quickly answered by members of the community found in our Slack #newmember channel (instructions on how to set up Slack are here).
HELP! I've already done a Group OBS session and have done some OBS-S1 Part 2 training or have been removed from an RTS - What do I do?
If you have attended a OBS-S1 Group session (and not achieved your S1 yet) from 1st January 2016:
- You have been enrolled onto the new S1 Moodle course - Please work through this methodically and ensure you complete all of the lessons/activities
- Please ensure you have also passed your S1 theory exam.
- Once you have completed both S1 Moodle & S1 Theory exam (regardless of whether you have passed the S1 theory exam already) send a ticket to ATC Training.
- We will then enrol you onto the Gatwick ADC | Delivery & Ground Moodle course to complete the final section of your theory training. Once you have completed this send a ticket to ATC Training.
- You will then be given mentoring request permissions for OBS_PT2 to conduct your 1-2-1 practical session simulated on Gatwick Ground on the Sweatbox server.
If you have completed a Group OBS session before January 2016, send us a ticket informing us of this and we'll get you set up.
