A quick summary from the Pilot Training Department of Q2!

Q2 Progress

• We have made great headway in our mentor recruitment which is reflected by the number of sessions conducted as the months of Q2 progress.
• Oliver Hall has departed the team as IFR Flight Instructor, this role will soon be filled.
• FTE production has been slow over the past 6 weeks due to availability with the team, but we will gear back up as this month continues!

But our biggest decision this quarter has been to put the brakes on with our Moodle courses. This decision has been made so that we can dedicate our time to a structure for all of our courses. Our mentoring has always worked on the principle of, to pass the course you need to demonstrate items 1-8, each item being taught by the mentors at some stage, but there has been no real structure as to what items are covered, in what order, and how the information is taught other than mentors passing on their personal knowledge with the aid of training material. We aim to implement our P2/3/4 training schemes by the end of Q2

So, we have come up with the concept of a training scheme for each course. We have currently created a scheme for P2/3/4. Here are some examples of P4 lesson plans.
