TG New Controller Update
Hello all,
We wanted to give you all an update on TG New Controller and give some insight into what we have achieved over the past 12 months. New Controller has come a long way over the last year and below you can see some of our statistics:
S1 ratings issued: 73
Group sessions held: 13 with 234 participants.
Total mentoring sessions: 282
Average members joining TGNC per day: 3
Number of S1s requesting further familiarisation sessions: 37
New Mentors
Over the past year, 13 new mentors have joined the TGNC team:
Manchester OBS: @Josh Howker , @James Edwards , @Ben Smith , @Leon Grant
Gatwick OBS: @Jack Limb , @Loui Ringer
Manchester S1: @Josh Riley , @Lee Roberts , @Josh Howker, @Andy Cooper
Gatwick S1: @Rhys Marston , @Oliver Gates , @Loui Ringer
Four additional mentors are currently in training.
We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to all our mentors in TG New Controller. The above statistics really do speak for themselves, but a huge well done to all of you for such a good year. We are always looking for new mentors to increase these numbers even further, so if you want to give something back to the division through mentoring the newest members to our hobby, submit a ticket to ATC Training!
What has changed over the past 12 months?
- We once again opened up Manchester as an OBS training aerodrome. Members now can give a preference on either Manchester or Gatwick.
- We now offer familiarisation sessions to S1s who want to learn more about the aerodrome, run by our team of experienced S1s. More info can be found on the announcement thread here .
- We now have Oliver Rhodes onboard to help with the growing empire which is TG New Controller. We are the biggest TG in the UK with over 300 members, so with Oliver on board, I can now concentrate on training new mentors and look at the future of TGNC.
Finally, from both myself and Oliver, best wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year: we’re looking forward to sharing with you our plans for 2018!
