Quick query, just wondering where the Donation Policy that is referenced is available. Is it a .net or .uk policy? :)

A very relevant point Dale, I believe laundering schemes are preferred to be hidden in nature. I welcome an open donation policy with non-DSG members being able to contribute to our great division.

Hi Dale,

The Policy mentioned is a local UK policy which is sent to individuals to agree to the contents therein before making a donation. This policy is not, as far as I am aware, public.

Thanks

All members are normally allowed to contribute; we have just been very fortunate in the past few years with some members of the division approach us privately and donate a considerable sum, therefore not needing to advertise.

Any member (regardless of staff position) is required to agree to the Donations Policy which clearly stipulates how the funds will be used.

We are currently reasonably financially sound hence the reason for Simon suggesting to open to the staff first, so that we don't have too much cash on hand. It is a fine balance between having enough to see us through comfortably for the next year but not too much that we cannot justify possessing.

With regards to your reference Lewis, I would be more than happy to show a copy of our cashflow planner to any member who makes a donation.
