Summary of Changes
Gatwick Planner (EGKK_P_GND) was initially introduced for events, where outbound planning and delay needed to be managed. In the last couple of years it has been allowed to be open whenever there is “significant delay” at Gatwick at a controller’s discretion. 

Following several episodes of negative feedback due to inappropriate use of this position in standard traffic environments, internal consultation has concluded that this position is not routinely required.

Effective immediately the Gatwick Planner position can only be opened when notified with a temporary instruction - aligning it with the Manchester Planner position.
