Andrew Gransden
Looking at the UK Sector File (UK.SCT), it contains a number of lines which start with a <name> <lat/long1><lat/long2> followed a series of lat/long defining each line. The lat/long1 and lat/long2 are all zero. Is this correct? For example: Merseyside Coastline N000.00.00.000 E000.00.00.000 N000.00.00.000 E000.00.00.000 N052.51.41.688 E000.10.38.924 N052.52.23.930 E000.10.27.311 32896 There are others with different cords: EGCC Manchester MSA ConesĀ S999.00.00.000 E999.00.00.000 S999.00.00.000 E999.00.00.000 Can anyone help explain? Luke Brown
Not 100% certain but would imagine it defines that north and eastern lat/long is defined as positive, whilst southern/western lat/long is defined as negative? Maybe @Chris Pawley can explain?
