I am pleased to announce that we are recruiting for the Pilot Training Manager role. As most of you will know, this role hasn't been filled in a few years, but it is now making a comeback with new vision!

The Pilot Training Manager role is being brought back as part of a succession plan within Pilot Training and to improve the day-to-day oversight capacity of the staff structure. General Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing day-to-day operations within Pilot Training
  • Acting as the appointed senior staff member for the Department and Responsible Representative
  • High-level management of training programme development
  • Working closely with the Pilot Training Director to ensure the Department operates efficiently
  • Actively engaging Flight Instructors and the mentoring team
  • Managing pilot rating examinations for the ATO (if required)

The candidate must:

  • Be a home member of VATSIM UK or able to transfer to the UK division as a home member
  • Be a member in good standing
  • Currently be or have past experience as a mentor within VATSIM UK
  • Have excellent teamwork and operational skills
  • Hold a P1 or higher network rating, or be eligible for a real-world license transfer

It is advantageous for a candidate to:

  • Currently be or have past experience as a staff member in VATSIM UK
  • Have experience using and developing within Moodle

Those who are interested should send their application to jobs[at]vatsim.uk. Your application should include a brief explanation as to why you think you are best suited to the role and any other information you deem relevant.

Applications will close on Sunday 9 March 23:59z.

Safe landings,
Darren✈️
