Hi all!

I am pleased to announce that we are recruiting for a second VFR Flight instructor. Due to the training demands seen with the P1 PPL(A) course, @Benjamin Arrowsmith and I have mutually agreed that a second VFR FI would help us take the course to the next level.

Below is a summary of the general responsibilities and requirements of the role.

General Responsibilities:

• Has overall responsibility for training of the P1 PPL(A) course in accordance with VATSIM UKs P1 PPL(A) training syllabus;
• Maintains training standards of the P1 PPL(A) course;
• Select and train new mentors for the P1 PPL(A) course;
• Organise group seminars as appropriate;
• Issue training places to students on the P1 PPL(A) course;
• Is the point of contact for mentors of the P1 PPL(A) course;
• Work with the Operations department to produce and review documentation as required;
• Provides the Pilot Training Manager with administrative support in relation to P1 PPL(A) course were appropriate;
• Holds a continuous review of the P1 PPL(A) course and leverages opportunities for improvement where appropriate.

The candidate must:

• Hold an P1 PPL(A) rating;
• Have experience mentoring within the division OR hold a P5 Flight Instructor network rating*;
• Maintain the required level of activity as specified for ATO staff members;
• Be a home member of VATSIM UK or able to transfer to the UK division as a home member;
• Be a member in good standing.

*this requirement may be waived on a case-by-case basis.
