Enroute Operations Coordinator & Enroute TGI Resigns
It is with huge regret that I must announce what many in the community have known for a while. Harry, our Enroute Operations Coordinator will sadly be leaving his role in Operations and as the Enroute TGI at the end of 2023.
Harry has been in his Operations post since October 2020, appointed by my predecessor Jack. During these 3 years, he has promoted our Enroute documentation to new highs - most notably with the creation of the Scottish vMATS, substantial clarity on our general Area procedures, implementation of the UK’s FRA and extensive collaboration with our neighbours to keep our Letters of Agreement consistent and current. Along with this he has provided support and guidance to many other projects, including numerous revisions in our sector file, as well as managing to author or co-author several Aerodrome vMATS.
Since June 2022, Harry has also taken on the role of Enroute TGI, following a period where this position remained vacant. During this short time, we have achieved 15 exam passes - a significant testament to the dedication of the mentoring team and Harry’s leadership.
Harry’s passion and dedication to our hobby has been impressive. I met him around the time he obtained his S3, in 2014 when I was in the old role of ‘London RTS Instructor’. Since his C1, he has controlled over 3000 hours on the network, held and excelled in a variety of staff positions and made a substantial impact on many generations of our controllers. The Division is sorry to see you leave these roles Harry and wish you all the best.
