The recruitment process announced here is now concluded and this vacancy has been filled.
The DSG has chosen to appoint Harry Downton to the vacancy and he has agreed to join the team as the next Member Services Director.
The entire DSG thanks Tom Earl for his dedication and efforts in establishing the member services team. We are additionally appreciative of the instigation of projects relating to new members, helpdesk reorganisation and review of the visiting and transferring controller processes. These projects will continue under the stewardship of Harry and the member services team.
This round of recruitment has been especially strong, with many excellent ideas and proposals from candidates. We hope to be able to follow up with as many of these as possible; additionally we thank the members who have taken the time to apply for the role and for meeting with us to discuss their application.
Harry has some great ideas for the future and following a period of transition and handover with Tom, we hope, as the DSG to be able to support him in delivering them.
Tom is transitioning into a new challenge as the year comes to a close and as his time as a staff member in VATSIM UK comes to an end we wish him the best for the future.
We wish both Tom and Harry the best for the future challenges to come.
