Military ACC Course - Released

We are pleased to announce the release of our Military Area Radar Moodle Course and the re-introduction of Military ACC endorsements. A massive thank you to Callum Presley and Lee Roberts for creating this course for us.

The course is open to view to all members. Members holding a permanent controller rating of C1 or C3 and also a Military APC endorsement are invited to take the exam (please submit a ticket to the helpdesk to have the exam enabled) at the end of the course to gain their Military ACC validation, which will allow them to open the following controller positions: 

  • EGVV_CTR - 135.150 - Swanwick Military - Covers military activity in both EGTT and EGPX
  • EGQQ_CTR - 134.300 - Swanwick Military - Can be split off from EGVV to cover the EGPX airspace.

My latest update files (Nov 2017) already have that coverage in and I can see from the above link they're in that file that they've built the respository from:

The air defence sectors did amuse me when I saw them some time ago.

Yes, EGVV has always been in the data files, but with this latest VATUK change it now also covers EGPX, not just EGTT. That's the point I was making.

Ah right.   Will experiment with that locally before I stick an issue in in that case.

For any Area Controllers who are considering this, there will be an opportunity later in the year where Mil Area will be very welcome (and perhaps needed...).
