Cardiff & Bristol Top-Down Procedures

Opition 1:

Seems a non issue, issue, especailly due the amount of times FF is manned and the amount of traffic into FF I mean it is bonkers unbusy! Looking forward to the amount of times an S1 and S2 at GD hands of to unicom, they dont read the vMATs anyway for Bristol, the amount of times that they dont know the push into the cul-de-sac or dishing out progessive taxi intrustructions, or trying to get pilots to understand why they need to contact EGFF when they are at EGGD. So yeah a new 'made up postion' or FF top down will help loads -thanks.

I suppose maybe AC just speaks to FF, but then that seems too simple.

Lenny, can you expand on being realistic but not being realistic?  You say we're about realism but then decry a decision made for realism...

Our role is to provide a realistic service. Sometimes that's not possible with "realistic" top-down rules because (unlike much of the real world) VATSIM does not offer a service H24.

Option 1 (and I agree with @Daniel Button’s comments), or the suggestion made by @Trevor Hannant - when we’ve looked at procedure changes before, I witheld this piece of information to avoid further confusion/drama; but Bristol Radar handles Cardiff’s radar traffic when their radar position is closed real world (or at least they did last I knew) so this puts further weight behind Trav’s idea.

Not keen on fictional positions.
