Hi,

I have been looking around the forum and website and have been unable to find any documentation relating to Gibraltar (save for a letter of agreement with VATSPA, dated February 2012). As I imagine that the single letter I have found will be full of out of date information, does anybody know where I can get documentation or EuroScope files for Gibraltar?

There was someone working on a vMATS for Gibraltar ( @Ryan Castle ?) but I don't believe it was completed.

Sector file can be found in this topic:

...although remember that Gibraltar comes under the Military banner so you will need your Military endorsement to control there.

Hello there,

Yes, I've written 1 thing that has been published and that was the SRA phraseology guide found here.

I have also made a pilots guide for Gib but it has not been published yet, this is a link from my personal drive and is not official VATUK documentation, that can be found here.

With regards to a vMats, there is a half completed one laying around but I don't have it to hand at the moment if I find it i'll try and complete it and send it in.

If you've got any specific questions then feel free to message me or @Luke Collister  or if you're VERY desperate you could try @Ryan Castle

Thanks for the documentation @Layth Al-Wakil. One more question: Do you know where I can find a list of standard departure routings and initial climbs? The guide mentions these but no altitudes are given and I do not know if the list is complete; or do I request clearance from radar for all departures?

In real life, the departure clearance is given by Seville Control to the tower controller and the after departure instructions are given by the radar controller. Usually its a departure on track to PIMOS, then flight plan route. As per the LoA between Spain and Gib handoffs for both inbounds and outbound occur at FL90, however, this could change depending on the traffic situation.

Just wondering if there is a standard heli clearance for aberdeen?
I'm assuming i'd hold them short of the HALS, then VFR clearance would be via HMR X published departure route N/A alt 1500 sqk xxxx???
then entry is also via published arrival route?
Also, is the phraseology "HALS 05" or "runway 05??"

      thanks

Hi all, particularly those who control Gatwick,
I have been on London a few times in the last weeks where controllers have asked pilots if they are able to accept the new NOVMA departure which replaced both the conventional and RNAV KENET SIDs from runway 26L. Can I please ask that if they are unable (due to an out of date AIRAC), that you do not then route aircraft via SAM SIDs instead, as having filed a KENET, this take them in a completely different direction? If they only have the old KENET for 26L, KENET is fine.
08R is of course a different story, since KENET conventional SIDs still exist, but not the RNAV (#KENET1Z). So if someone has the IMVUR1Z departure, this has preference over both the old KENET and SAM SIDs. If they do not have the IMVUR departure, please clear on either KENET or SAM.
May I also suggest that if the SID is no longer published on charts, it might be pertinent to remind the pilot of the initial climb restriction for the old SID? (It will be the same as the new one)
      In sum:
      Filed Routing
      Active Runway
      New Routing
Not updated AIRAC? Then clear on…
      KENET
      26L
      NOVMA L620 NIBDA N14 KENET
      #KENET2M* / #KENET1X
      08R
      IMVUR N63 VOUGA N14 KENET
      KENET3P
      SAM
      26L
      NOVMA L620 SAM
      SAM2M
      08R
      IMVUR N63 SAM
      SAM3P
      * old SIDs will be prefixed with a # in EuroScope

      Thanks!

Just wondering, as it has been a while since (I at least) have seen an update regarding the community groups that were another component of the RTS/TGS transition.

Can anyone provide details as to why this has been given a back seat/scrubbed from the plan? I have seen no development from it, (not to say there hasn't been any behind the scenes) but it might be nice for a few updates every now and then!
