active 2018-10-11 Oxford (EGTK) Frequency Update

Recommended Posts

Effective 11 October 2018

The following frequencies are amended or converted to 8.33 kHz spacing:

EGTK TWR 133.425->133.430 (Can't change)
EGTK RAD 127.110 -> 125.090 (we will use 125.100)
EGTK APP 125.090 -> 119.980 (we will use 119.970)
EGTK GND 121.950 -> 121.955 (Can't change)

Oxford TWR 133.425 becomes 133.430 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

Oxford RAD 127.110 becomes 125.090 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore 125.100 will be used.

Oxford APP 125.090 becomes 119.980 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore 119.970 will be used

Oxford GND 121.950 becomes 121.955 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

The Controller Pack and Sector File will be updated in time for the effective date.

      From the effective date, the runway designator for the main runway at Carlisle is changed from 25/07 to 24/06.

      In addition the thresholds are slightly moved and the aerodrome reference point (ARP) is redefined.

      The UK Sector File will contain these changes when it is released on this date. We expect to update the website on or around the same date. At this point, this post will be archived.

      The following frequencies are converted to 8.33 kHz spacing:
      Bristol APP 136.075 becomes 136.080 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.
      Bristol DEL 121.925 becomes 121.930 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      Bristol ATIS 126.025 becomes 126.030 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      We will update the relevant documentation in the future.

      The following frequencies are converted to 8.33 kHz spacing:
      Dundee APP/TWR 122.900  becomes 122.905  due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      Dundee ATIS 119.325  becomes 119.330  due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      We will update the relevant documentation in a future update.

      The following frequencies are converted to 8.33 kHz spacing:
      Heathrow Intermediate South APP 134.975 becomes 134.980  due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      I am aware many other Heathrow frequencies were updated recently also. When the AIRAC data contains these changes, they will also be reflected where possible.

      We will update the relevant documentation in the future.

      A number of frequencies are updated at Aberdeen
      Aberdeen Approach 119.050 becomes 119.055 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.
      Aberdeen Tower 118.100 becomes 118.105 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.
      Aberdeen Radar 128.300 becomes 128.305 due to 8.33 kHz spacing restrictions, we are unable to replicate this. Therefore the existing frequency is retained as it is the closest usable frequency.

      We will update documentation at a future point to indicate the reason for the selection of these frequencies.
