On Saturday, November the 25th, VATeir and VATSIM UK will be packing the airspace above Ireland and the UK to capacity as aircraft make their way between Gatwick and Dublin, from 1830z until 2130z. Both airports are renowned for their very intense single runway operations, with Gatwick being the busiest single runway airport in the world, and Dublin close behind. There will be plenty of late landing clearances and expeditious takeoff clearances to go around (pun unintended)!

The length of the event gives pilots plenty of time to fly over and back between the two airports, with full ATC along the way for what will be a fantastic event.

Charts for Dublin are available here: http://iaip.iaa.ie/iaip/aip_eidw_charts.htm
Charts for Gatwick are available here: http://www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/in ... d=142.html

Controllers this will be rostered

Apologies for this very cheeky hijack: Saturday 25th is a great opportunity to combine two events for a VATSIM-filled afternoon and evening. Iceland's Bridge between Continents, our largest annual event, takes place from 1400-2100z, which could turn this city pair into a city triangle from BIKF > EGKK > EIDW :)

      Dear Pilots,

under the motto "Explore New Destinations," RG Frankfurt, in cooperation with Portugal, is offering a Frankfurt (EDDF) - Lisbon (LPPT) One-Way Shuttle!

As the capital of the southern European country Portugal, it represents a cultured and artistic city. That is why tourists from around the world come here, even though business trips are becoming ever more popular.

The busiest airport, Humberto Delgado Lisbon, is made up of two runways, one of which, the 03/21 running 3705 meters long, is usually used both for landing and takeoffs.

Frankfurt represents Germany´s busiest airport by easily managing high volumes of traffic over four runways. Departures to the South usually depart from runway 18. There are two routes: passing France and the Biskaya sea or via Switzerland, the Pyrenees and central Spain.

To that effect, a flight from Frankfurt to Lisbon could be a fun experience, which is why RG Frankfurt kindly invites you to the EDDF-LPPT One-Way Shuttle on Saturday, the 25th of November, 2017. Departures will take place in Frankfurt between 1500 – 1700z, the flight time will be approximately 3 hours. We asked for ATC along the whole route and you will get fetched up at Lisbon by the Portugese team.

Prepare yourselves for a few minutes delay at holdingpoints, very close separation and swift landings and partake in this event, as it is called "Explore New Destinations!"

RG Frankfurt and vACC Portugal will wait for you!

      Dear fellow pilots,
VACC-CZ and VATSIM Germany are happy to offer a LKPR–EDDH City Shuttle. The event will take place on Sunday 19th November 2017 from 17 till 21z.
Fly a direction of your choice between Prague and Hamburg and enjoy friendly and competent ATCs. Controllers of both cities will be happy to handle all traffic, be it VFR or IFR and are looking forward to bring you on your way to your destination.
Enjoy an exciting approach at Ruzyne Airport. Maybe you are lucky and weather conditions will allow a beautiful view across Prague. Or try an approach over Hamburg’s waterways. Due to the short flight there is also time for flying from and to both airports, including a turnaround for a proper flight preparation.

For your convenience, here are two routes for your flights. Of course you are free to choose any other routing. Both routes are valid for upper airspace.
LKPR – EDDH: VENOX Y621 ESLOR UM748 RARUP
EDDH – LKPR: RAMAR Z998 OSKAN UM748 HDO M725 GOLOP

All relevant charts for LKPR can be found here: https://www.vacc-cz.org/en/airports/lkpr
You can also find a very good SOP file and freeware sceneries for MSFS and X-Plane on the link above. Or you can enjoy beautiful Mega Airport Prague scenery from Aerosoft.
Please note: After departure you’re supposed to change over from Ruzyne Tower to Praha Radar on your own, without further notice. The initial climb is 5000ft.
All relevant charts for EDDH can be found here: http://www.vacc-sag.org/airport/EDDH
Please note: After departure you’re supposed to change over from Hamburg Tower to Bremen Radar on your own, without further notice. The initial climb is 5000ft. VFR Charts require a login. VFR Pilots not able to login are advised to use www.skyvector.com.
