Hi Odias,

If it said all of the regular info, like CALLSIGN, ROUTE, REAL NAME, DEP AIRPORT, ARR AIRPORT ect, then that means it was working great. You shouldn't have got an error unless it only showed the CALLSIGN, which would be weird. Also I would give you a copy of my EuroScope Files, but then you could get my password. Best advice it to set-up a new all of your files again. Then maybe copy it to like three places on your harddrive so if it happens again you should be able just to copy a new UK Pack in there.

Sorry,

Adam

Actually Odias,

Check your recycling bin for maybe the UK Controller Pack is still hanging around in there!

Adam.

Agree with Adam here. Try to see if the UK controller pack is somewhere on your PC, and then just pop it into your EuroScope folder and open the SMR that way. If I were you then I would try to load in the Gatwick SMR before EuroScope fully starts when a windows pops open (even before the opening EuroScope screen). Also, if you mean that your departure list position is different, then that happened as you re-installed it.

And to fix your other problem with the callsign not showing:

The following has to be done before connecting to the network:

1. Click on 'Open SCT'

2. Click on 'Load ICAO Airlines Data'

euroscope_opensct_loadicaoairlines_highlight.thumb.png.c567a66817d98fed3102713df3206837.png

3. In the window that appears, go into Documents, EuroScope, Datafiles. Select ICAO Airlines.txt and click Load.

4. On exit, save your profile settings, or do it straight away under 'Other Set' and 'Save Profile'

Hope this helped!

P.S: You can also do this for all the other ICAO data files too.

That means it cant find the file itself. Try re-downloading the UK pack, unzipping it and then selecting it.

Hello Odias,

This error is probably indicating that your Gatwick SMR File has been deleted or moved to a different location.

Check this Directory that you have the following files in it:

Also,

To move the Sections (like Departure List etc), just click and hold the top part of the ICON/SECTION:

If the Callsign isnt there, you can type .callsign THE CALLSIGN, press enter then click on the aircraft with that callsign.

My first post on here is a very much of a quicker solution for all callsigns. Although Euroscope won't detect all it will detect all. In those cases or to change a callsigns you should then use the .callsign command. Otherwise it would have taken him forever for all the callsigns.

Where can i find the sector file for gatwick airport.

When you open EuroScope, navigate to your documents folder/EuroScope/UK/Gatwick and all the profiles should be there, the SMR will be the one you need for controlling ground/delivery positions

      UK Controller Pack
The official controller pack for all VATSIM UK positions. Where there are no specific profiles for airports/positions that are used for training, controllers may use the Generic profiles provided within.
      Specific Profiles for:
London (Area) Scottish (Area) Birmingham East Midlands Edinburgh Essex - Stansted and Luton Glasgow London Heathrow London Gatwick Manchester Thames - London City and Biggin Observer Group Session Installation instructions are contained within the pack: unzip the controller pack first, then within the 'UK' folder inside will be a README file (PDF format). Please read this carefully before moving the pack into the appropriate location.

The Sector File <- Download Link
You can also use the auto-download feature of EuroScope to obtain the latest version.
Found a bug while using the new sector file? That’s anything from an auto-handoff that doesn’t work, to a missing position, to a misbehaving agreement… Use the EuroScope department of the helpdesk!
      Alternate ownerships for observing/mentoring
It's possible for mentors to get the correct sector ownerships without needing to select a primary frequency. Just go to Other settings...Sector ownership setup, click 'select all' and select 'Mentoring TWR/APP' from the list. For mentoring on LON_*_CTR (or SCO_CTR) you will need to select the relevant 'Observing LON_*_CTR' option instead to specify which sector(s) you are interested in.
The LON_*_CTR can also be used for observing purposes rather than mentoring, but this requires a quick edit of the UK.ese file to tell Euroscope what your log-in callsign for observing will be. (E.g. HS_OBS.) Open UK.ese in Notepad or another text editor and the line to edit is at the top and clearly indicated. There's also an 'Observing London FIR' option that will give you ownership of every sector in the FIR, regardless of who else is online.
Adjacent airports shown when using the General Setting 'Set active APT by owned sectors'
There is now an option to choose which departure airports to show, by means of a special runway 00 at '000A Show adjacent departure airports' in the Runway Selector dialogue. This mainly affects London and Scottish Control sectors.
Option 1, with a selected runway 00 on the right hand side (under DEP or ARR, or both, doesn't matter): the departure list will show departures from all airports within the sector, or immediately adjacent to it.
Option 2, with no runway 00 selected: the departure list will show departures only from airports for which you have top-down responsibility for TWR services. That is, only when nobody else is covering it. This is the mode of operation found in previous versions of the sector file.

I'm not a fan of the colours generally used in SMR files due high contrast and illegibility; I would love to customise and unify them on my own personal Euroscope. Specifically, I'm talking about the colours of the runway, taxiways, buildings, grass verges, etc.
Is it a case of changing options in the 'Symbology settings' or editing files in the Euroscope directory? Some help in this area would be appreciated!
      Thanks in advance!

I have been looking under the bonnet at how to configure Euroscope. I was looking at how to improve the VRPs by use of bespoke Symbols. At present VRPs are simply defined as a string with an asterisk prefix (eg. *Cheddar Reservoir). I have looked at the symbology.txt definition file but manual additions seem to be overridden and the Symbols (aircraft, VOR, NDB, etc) appears to be fixed. Is there something I am missing? Is there such a thing as user defined symbols?
