I am delighted to announce the publication of our Oceanic Control document.


I would like to thank Kieran Hardern for the time he has spent putting this invaluable document together.

Is there still a requirement to pass Mach number in a position report? The last few trips I've done didn't involve a single one.

I'm presuming now because all the separation is time based rather than speed based, therefore there is no requirement to pass it.

According to the examples in NAT 007, Mach numbers are not included in position reports :)

      The pre exam will be conducted on Saturday 24th February 2018 (1930z-2130z) taking place on Bristol Tower (EGGD_TWR). We will be logging on around 1930z (1930 UK local) and will be logging off around 2110z (2110 UK local). A good mix of IFR and VFR aircraft will be required in order to assess the student's ability. As always, nothing special without the permission of EGGD_M_TWR. 
      Any supporting control from GDAPP/LONW would be appreciated!

      As part of the new Central Training process we are offering theory seminars for all members who hold an S1 or higher. The purpose of these sessions is to best prepare you for your ATC Tower training as possible.
