Hi all,
Another year, another Christmas holiday period! As we all take some time away to spend with friends and family, training activity will inevitably decrease from its current level.
From Monday 20th December to Sunday 2nd January (inclusive), training staff will not send out the normal session request/availability reminders. If you’re a student training in one of our programmes - pilot or ATC - you will not be required to have a session request or availability entered into the CT System during this period.
On or shortly after Sunday 2nd January, reminders will be sent out and students will have until the end of Sunday 9th January to re-enter both a session request and availability into the CT System. Please be sure to do this by the deadline to ensure that you do not lose your training place after Christmas!
Additionally, over the Christmas period:
tickets submitted to the helpdesk are likely to remain unanswered until January;
exams will not be requested or allocated, and rating upgrades/validations may be delayed;
mentoring frequency will likely reduce, so gaps between sessions may increase.
We will also be running the second VATSIM UK Christmas Quiz this coming Sunday 19th December, starting at 2000z on our TeamSpeak server. Absolutely everyone - UK member or otherwise - is welcome to join as either an individual or as a team; all you need to do is turn up!
