[Appointment] Operations Director

The division has concluded the recruitment process for the vacant Operations Director position following the resignation of Jack Edwards.
As a result of this process, I am pleased to inform you that @Kieran Hardernhas been appointed to this role. Kieran is a long-standing member of the network; most recently he can be found as a member of the Supervisor team as a Team Lead and spearheading the twice yearly Cross the Pond event. Kieran is familiar with the work of the Operations Department having been a regular contributor to documentation and software during the past few years. We look forward to working with him during the coming months.
As Jack's time on the DSG comes to a close, we would like to thank him for his efforts in establishing and strengthening the Operations team. This team performs excellent work month by month during each AIRAC cycle in order to retain the functionality of the tools and information that we use. I am especially grateful to Jack's efforts in unification of Oceanic procedures and completing several new agreements with international partners as well as establishing workflows for this team to lean on well into the future. Best wishes Jack for your future endeavours.
Jack and Kieran will work together during a handover period for the next weeks.
