Training Staff Changes

Evening all!

On the theme of staff changes, we have some faces leaving us in Training - please see below a summary of who is leaving.

@Ben Cook New Controller Training Group Instructor - Ben joined us in September last year where he worked alongside the rest of the team to maintain and develop our OBS-S1 and Gatwick endorsement training. He has been a key player in projects such as the introduction of our S1 syllabus, new S1 aerodromes, and Basic training.

Please join me in wishing Ben the best of luck as he starts his professional pilot career! Ben's forum post.

@Sebastian Rekdal Enroute Training Group Instructor - Sebastian joined us as a Division Instructor last June, and soon migrated to the TGI role. Sebastian will be leaving us as he goes off to train to be my solicitor (sorry Sebastian I had to).

Please join me in wishing him all the best, and I'm sure he won't be a stranger! Sebastian's forum post.

@Oliver Gates Approach Training Group Instructor - Oliver joined us in February last year as a TGI for TG1 before moving to our new Approach Training Group earlier this year. Oliver has been a key contributor to the division as both a Pilot and ATC Instructor over the past 4 years.

We wish him all the best in completing his degree, and we will hopefully be seeing him around over the coming months. Oliver's forum post.

@Jack Edwards Approach Training Group Instructor - I think it's safe to say we all know why! Jack joined the ATC team back in May this year alongside Charlie Watson during the restructure of our training groups. As you have probably seen Jack has moved to his new role as Operations Director, I have no doubt that he will bring to Operations what he brought with him to training, and I am very positive about the future interaction between the two departments.

It has been a pleasure to work with all four of these people, and more than anything, it has been great to meet four people who the team and I will without a doubt, keep in contact with, both on and off of VATSIM.

As one door closes for our current staff, another one opens for our membership. This is a great opportunity for our members to get involved with the staff team and work along side current instructors.

Keep an eye out on the forum for vacancies and I look forward to hopefully bringing some new members onto the team!

Thanks,

Dan
